batman-arkham-asylum-boxart
Hoho, just gotten Batman Arkham Asylum afew days back after trying out the demo. AND LOVE IT, so awesome. Love the simple combat system instead of the X+A+B+X+B shit combo, its just simple X to punch and Y to counter. Great gadgets and upgrades, and the detective mode. It almost feels a little like zelda!

Its the first time I bought a game related to superheroes or movie, because they normally suck so bad. This is an exception! Go get it now, love the story, the gameplay, the graphics and everything. Makes me regret my impulse buy on Star Wars The Force Unleashed. ): Sith Edition coming out soon, and I went to buy the original one.

HoHo, I just completed it.
But theres more to it!

I was excited when I heard there was a sorta spin off of final fantasy XII for the DS, as I don’t own a ps2 so I haven’t played any new final fantasy series ever since FF9 itself. The game itself is great, storyline was epic as usual with a unique battle system one had never adopted before. It reminds me of the mini game back in final fantasy 7, with a more complex system and everyone’s favourite summon. It sure looks nasty to be able to choose from quite a variety of strong summons. I was hoping that I could have like summon 5 level 3 espers instead.

The battle system is kinda a mix of strategy plus real time battle. Those who played san guo card game in the arcade can easily click well with this game. Sides from graphical downpoint, it is still great to play through the whole game without excellent graphics. Don’t be too surprised if you only probably find 3 graphical movies in the whole game, kinda boring but yeah. Anymore would probably be a 2 cart game instead.

This game is golden, it makes me wanna replay all my final fantasy series and get a ps3 just to play through 10 to 12, while waiting for 13. And it gets me real addicted too, because I found myself playing this game for a whole one week just to reach the end!

Good thing about having FF12 on DS is that you don’t get to see fuckface penelo.
AND ASHE IS SUPER CHIO!
Ima rename my DS after her, just down with one L.

“Don’t cha wish your gf is hot like her”

Oh, theres replayability value in it because it wants you to grind your characters to lvl 99 and go through all side quests to get an alternate ending. Thats what I will do when I finish zelda wind waker and phoenix wright 2.

On the sidenote, I spent sometime wasted on portal papercraft.
I was never good at crafts and worse is that they are so SMALL!

Okay, I need to go sleep.
TOMORROW IS A LONG DAY!

Oh oh, and a last geek note.
Starwars battlefront is draining my attention span away.
I played it when I wake up, eat, goes to bed, walk, travel, studies, watch tv.
I can’t seem to stop.
>.>

OMG!
I’ve completed ZELDA PHANTOM HOURGLASS on my darling DS.
(:
Sexy or not!

So the storyline was simple, you start the game as Link with a task to save Tetra, your piratey friend from the evil Bellum. No doubt, this task remains the same throughout your entire journey, and no it does not brings in Zelda nor any new destiny like the other Zelda games.

Gameplay wise is indeed interesting, not comparing to the consoles and adopted from the portable franchise. It had indeed improved alot. Awesome basic controls with much stylus work with the control pad or buttons accessing the menus. Which made it very easy and definitely suitable for left or right handers. Smart choice they had made. The off point is that it certainly became a lazy Zelda game with specifically easy controls. Tap on your enemies and Link will jump attack if on far distance or a normal slash if closeby. While dragging the stylus makes Link move and jump off edges are the normal concepts of Zelda games.

With the addtional array of new weapons along the game makes it even more fun. Like how boomerang could seem so godly at times, travelling the routes you drew and even lasting for a minute before flying back into your arms. Or the gripping hand could be real fun at times. Not forgetting the shovel which makes you feel like harvest moon all over again! Digging the whole island for treasure maps or rupees can be so fun if you are a harvest moon addict. Not forgetting the almighty hammer that makes bashing so much fun!

I was indeed baffled by the new technology of having two screens. The benefits of having the map shown above and without the hassle to collect compass and map, indeed is a plus sign for lazy people like me! And the Biong Biong statues are annoying as ever, because I always accidently slash their face. They are indeed helpful because at only 20 rupees you can get to know the treasure chests on that particular map. But I never actually bought it so yeah.
The up point is dual screen with the additional features of MAKING NOTES! Its so important throughout the game, and for idiots like me who likes to draw smiley faces, its not rare to spot almost a smiley face on every single map. HAHA, so much fun.

The puzzles are indeed annoying but challenging at the same time, like how I got stuck at the part when I needed to close my DS to get the two maps connected together! GOT ME STUCK FOR AN HOUR, before I had to rush off the bus stop so I close it before I got down my stop, and noticed how I accidently solved the damn puzzle. Hahaha!

SO OVERALL, as a great zelda fan. I would give it 8/10 stars.
It would be a perfect 10 stars if they didn’t made Link’s fat like some cat from my programming class.
And the fact its far too easy and short already.
Also the sad point is theres no zelda mentioned in the whole game nor did that stupid ganon who always popped his ass out in every single game appear once in this game.

So its good for a change to not see Zelda or Ganon, and simple task stays the same throughout with no trying to save the world what so ever.
I think at this point they are trying to push this zelda as an easier one to attract new players who had not played zelda before, because theres alot more people aware of zelda now thanks to Zelda Phantom Hourglass. I’m glad, but I do hope the next upcoming Zelda for the portable would be something designed for the veterans and hardcore fans.
(:
I would replay the game after I complete wind waker.
Because I have not got all my ship parts neither have I made used of all the gem I’ve collected.
Fishing is fun and annoying at the same time because I couldn’t get the hang of it.
But when I got the hang of it, the fishes I got are like tadpoles.
DARN!

Zelda Phantom Hourglass is loved and still loving!
Now I can concentrate on my other DS games like Lunar Knights!
(:

oh darn i just made a stupid mistake.
now i’m laughing my ass off already.

well anyway, I’ve just managed to complete brave story on my dear moncha lately. Nothing interesting, but sure is fascinating to see I will get addicted to an rpg besides from epic ones like dragon quest and final fantasy. Because I’m not that little patient kid anymore, nor can i sit through a whole 30minutes battle just to kick the boss ass while keeping my character’s alive. Neither do I have the cheek to go level up so that I can survive my way to the final boss or going through extra dungeons to get the best weapon to prepare for the final battle. Which explains why till now I haven’t complete my ff3 which I’ve gotten it last year with my nds lite.

The graphics are awesome for a PSP to really interests me, sides from crappy storyline to lame bird brawls. It such was interesting to see how each character have their own special ability from self revival to double hit and stuff like that. The story was pretty well predictable with  lots of side quests that are boring. Its either boss fights or collect stuffs from little monsters. The add on points is that you are some sort of bounty hunter, able to collect bounty judging via the amount of monsters you have slayed. Man, I’m a real sucker for money and always like to carry alot of cash in games. So its one point which glued me to the game because I’m ubber rich.

Sad is that the game was too easy to beat, like how boss fight was really easy once you know what to do. Like all I did was have first character cast this spell, second character attack twice, third character do all heal. Then repeat for another 15minutes or so before the boss kisses the ground. While not forgetting bird brawl was really lame, it was funny once but super lame as it gets deeper. It might have worked if it was dragons and we are able to control how they fight.

Overall the game was awesome, judging from the range of RPG avaliable to the psp. Its not a bad game to pick up for hardcore RPG lovers, even the light hearted ones like me would love them to. Amazingly, it has this special power to glue you to finish the whole story before stopping it. Not even using guest characters after story ended will ever attract me to play it again to complete all the side quests and stuff. So yes I’m over and done with Brave Story on my psp and it was indeed fun while it lasted. Like how I made fun of some unity skills, and oh boy, yuno is totally hot. While maladee is just an old hag.

In a nutshell, a little twirk to battle system called unity. funny storyline but kinda lame. bring downs was that it was too easy and probably a little too predictable.
7/10 for the game!
if you haven’t try it, go get a copy today!
